Take a team trip to Gotland

A trip is always an adventure and a trip to Gotland to compete in a competition or an event with your sports club or friends is always exciting. The beauty and bounty of our island in the middle of the Baltic Sea has attracted travellers, pirates and holidaymakers for centuries.

Gotland is great for events and arrangements. As a tourist island with 180 associations that represent 49 different sports, we have the breadth, experience and practice to organise events large and small. The Stånga Games, an annual competition in Gotlandic Sports, takes place in Stånga on Gotland. This competition has been arranged since 1924. In 2017, the Nat West Island Games, an international multisports event organised by the International Island Games Association will be hosted by Gotland. Over 3,000 visitors are expected to attend.

Surrounded by seawater that you can swim in until well into autumn, there is plenty of scope for recreation and training along our beautiful sandy beaches and beach paths all year round. Sports facilities and accommodation can be found all round the island and in the main city Visby we now have a new arena that offers a wide range of entertainments and food experiences.
